It wasn’t about football this time for the Detroit Lions. A personal milestone from Brock Wright brought teammates and fans together as messages quickly poured in.

On April 04, the Lions tight end Brock Wright and former Detroit Red Wing host Carley Johnston exchanged vows and started a new forever together.

“I must’ve done something right in life to deserve a love like this. Brock Joseph, it is such a blessing to be loved and loved by you!! I cannot wait to be your wife!!!!!!! Spending my life loving you will be the greatest thing I ever do,” Johnston wrote on her social media account.

Detroit's power couple got married at the River Bridge Event Center. They had their wedding ceremony in a beautiful, intimate setting, beginning a new journey together.

Although there is no clear timeline about their relationship, they crossing each other's path was nothing more than destiny. 

According to Johnston’s Instagram, she shared her first memory with Wright around two and a half years ago. 

The couple made their relationship public by making appearances in each other's social media timelines. 

But as the journey went on, finally the day came. On May 02, 2025, Brock Wright went down on his knees at Cape Cod, Massachusetts, and got engaged with the NHL reporter. 

As the couple seem to be in high spirits on this auspicious day, the Lions' fanbase wasted little to no time sending their heartfelt wishes.
