Yesterday was special for Detroit Lions quarterback Jared Goff and his wife, Christen Harper, as the couple celebrated a special milestone together.
Harper shared a photo of some white flowers on her personal Instagram account’s story with a caption directed at the Lions quarterback.
“2 years 🤍 @jaredgoff,” the caption on the story read.

The Instagram story message signified the couple’s second wedding anniversary. Goff and Harper got married on 22 June 2024 in a private wedding ceremony in Ojai, California. They also welcomed their daughter Romy Isabelle Goff in July 2025.
Harper, who is a Sports Illustrated model, first met Goff on a celebrity dating app. She has admitted, during an interview with PEOPLE magazine, that she did not know who he was when they had initially matched on the app. They officially started seeing each other in 2019.
When Goff was traded from the Los Angeles Rams to the Lions in 2021, Harper also shifted to Detroit with him. Soon, in 2022, after three years together, they both got engaged.
Now, both Goff and Harper are major parts of Detroit’s football community, with Harper often being cited during the Lions’ games, cheering on her husband. Both Harper and Goff have also contributed a lot to the society of Detroit and are prominent figures in philanthropy and are known for their charitable contributions.
Meanwhile, Goff has been busy this offseason with the Lions after the completion of the OTAs and their two-day mandatory veteran minicamp at the Meijer Performance Center in Allen Park. However, Goff could see another star in his team when training camp starts, according to one NFL analyst.
NFL analyst pitches trade that would see $68M star join the Lions
The talks revolving around the Lions wanting to add another pass-rusher to the team to pair up with Aidan Hutchinson have been going around all offseason. Now, Kristopher Knox of Bleacher Report, in his list of the latest 2026 NFL Trade Block Big Board, named the Lions as a possible suitor for Steelers’ Alex Highsmith.
“The Steelers could also be willing to part with (Alex) Highsmith after locking up fellow edge-rusher Nick Herbig with a four-year $100 million extension,” wrote Knox. “ For Pittsburgh, Highsmith is the most sensible trade candidate of the three, though it would probably take a Day 2 pick and more - possibly another receiver to help Rodgers - to help him.”
Alex Highsmith is turning 29 in August and has two more years left on his four-year extension worth $68 million that he had signed in 2023.
The extension came after his best-ever season in the NFL where he had 14.5 sacks, five forced fumbles, 63 total tackles, 20 quarterback hits, and 12 tackles for loss. Since that season, Highsmith has unfortunately suffered many minor injuries, causing his output to take a hit.
When Highsmith has been healthy, he has still been very good, as he led the Steelers last season in sacks with 9.5, despite missing out on four games with high ankle sprains.
If the Lions trade for Highsmith and he can stay healthy, the Lions could possess one of the best pass-rusher duos in the NFL.
Would you trade for Highsmith? Let us know your thoughts on the opinion.
