Packers quarterback Jordan Love recently revealed the career he once considered before becoming an NFL player. Recently, the Green Bay Packers shared a video on YouTube of Love answering "some of the most searched questions."

One of those questions was, "What did Jordan Love want to be growing up?" For a quarterback whose life has revolved around football, Love's answer came as a surprise. His answer wasn't football at all.

"I also kind of wanted to be a police officer," said Jordan Love. "Both my parents are police officers and uh, you know, when I was a little kid, I kind of wanted to follow in their footsteps."

Love ended up sharing more than just his football story, revealing the careers he once dreamed about long before becoming Green Bay's starting quarterback.

Love also said he dreamed of becoming an NBA player, though football and law enforcement were the two careers he pictured for himself growing up.

"Uh, but kind of either or. I want to be a professional athlete or a cop," Love said.

And he did end up as a professional athlete, but in the NFL, after going to Utah State. The Packers chose him in the first round, 26th pick overall of the 2020 NFL Draft.

In six seasons, he has appeared in 57 games, starting 48. He has a record of 27-20-1 with a 64.3% pass completion for 11,535 passing yards and 83 touchdowns.

Love's offseason reflections may have looked back at the past, but his attention has already shifted to the 2026 season. As training camp approaches, one of Green Bay's biggest priorities will be making sure its franchise quarterback has enough protection up front.

Jordan Morgan and Zach Tom currently sit atop the Packers' tackle depth chart. However, Tom's recovery from knee surgery and poor backup options raise questions about the team's ability to resist injuries over the season, as per SB Nation's Jon Meerdink.

The Packers are expected to rely on players such as Darian Kinnard, Anthony Belton, Donovan Jennings, and Travis Glover. That makes the position especially important for Love heading into the season.

Love's success over the past two seasons was because of a strong offensive line, and now any issues at tackle could impact the Packers' passing attack.

If Green Bay can't keep its offensive line healthy, protecting Love could quickly become one of the team's biggest challenges in 2026.
