Terrion Arnold was arrested on June 24 in Tampa on multiple felony charges tied to an alleged robbery and kidnapping. As questions swirl over his future, former Saints team captain Junior Galette shared his personal experience and perspective on X.

“I recall getting robbed for 150k worth of jewelry while I was sleeping lol this is why you have insurance on your jewelry but getting your Lick back while playing in the NFL is nasty work," wrote Galette on Friday, June 26. "Idk how he’s getting off but I pray he does and surrounds himself with better people.”

Per ESPN reports, the police allege Arnold to be the mastermind behind the scenes. The cornerback has been accused of coordinating six co-defendants to lure three men to a Tampa apartment, where they were allegedly a******** and robbed.

Investigations revealed that the plot finds its root in the February 1 burglary at an Airbnb Arnold rented in Largo. At the Airbnb, more than $250,000 worth of property was reported stolen from Arnold.

The police have claimed that the cornerback mistakenly believed that two of his victims were involved in the theft. But the investigation later cleared them of any involvement.

Arnold voluntarily surrendered on Wednesday night and now faces four counts of kidnapping and armed robbery.

According to the Hillsborough County State Attorney's Office, two of the codefendants in the case have pleaded guilty, and the other four are being held without bond.

The charges could result in the Lions' cornerback getting a sentence that would end his NFL career. According to EAG Sports Management CEO Denise White, Arnold has denied all allegations. He "is confident that the judicial process will lead to his ultimate vindication."

With Arnold out for the count, the Lions may have to find other options to fill that gap.

What options do the Lions have except Terrion Arnold?

While losing Arnold is concerning news for the Lions, they certainly have enough depth to cover that hole. For instance, Rock Ya-Sin proved to be one of the Lions' most dependable backup cornerbacks last year when he stepped in after Arnold suffered an injury.

According to Pro Football Focus, Ya-Sin allowed 27 receptions for 287 yards and one touchdown. He also ranked 22nd among the 86 cornerbacks who played at least 300 coverage snaps last season. The Lions might look towards him again this season as well.

Roger McCreary may also be a good option to replace Arnold as well. The cornerback signed a one-year, $1.26 million deal with the franchise.

He worked with the first-team defense as the starting nickelback, the role that he knows the best. He has 70.6% of his defensive snaps at nickel across three seasons.

The 61st overall pick in the 2024 NFL Draft, Ennis Rakestraw Jr., could be another key replacement for Arnold. Despite appearing in just eight games due to injuries, he showed plenty of promise. Now healthy, Detroit could make good use of him.
