Spain's dream run is complete. A hard-fought 1-0 win over Argentina crowned the European champions as world champions. Amid the celebrations, Green Bay Packers star Micah Parsons stirred controversy with a fiery reaction to FIFA following Lionel Messi's defeat.

“Lol, soccer is a fixed sport!” wrote Micah Parsons on his X handle following the conclusion of the game.

While the entire FIFA fiasco has been defined by the Folarin Balogun controversy involving the U.S. men's national team before the Belgium match, followed by the highly controversial Egypt vs. Argentina clash, the final itself sparked controversy.

Lionel Messi and the men in blue were hoping to take the World Cup trophy back home yet again, but fate was not with them this time. The team took a massive hit in the normal time when Enzo Fernández's night ended in a dismissal.

The midfielder was booked in the 82nd minute for protesting against a decision, and due to his behaviour, he earned a yellow card.

When the play entered stoppage time (90+2), Spain's Pau Cubarsí cleared the ball. However, Fernández came crashing at him, sending the Spaniard to the turf.

Following that incident, referee Slavko Vinčić wasted no time giving him a second yellow card, reducing Argentina to 10 men.

‘La Albiceleste’ eventually failed to produce any goals in time as they lost the match 1-0 against Spain.

While the controversy was largely limited to the first yellow card, it was enough for Micah Parsons to call out the federation as a whole.

Well, FIFA has come to an end after a month of controversies, intense competition, and memorable moments.

Five months into his ACL recovery, Micah Parsons has a clearer timeline for his return, with the Packers pass rusher admitting that a Week 1 comeback is now out of the question.

"Just passed my fifth month on May 29th, so extremely happy where we're at and the direction that I'm going," Parsons said on June 3rd during Packers OTAs, via Schneidman. “So, obviously, got four more months to go.”

Even if Parsons hits his recovery timeline, he may not be ready to play before Week 4 against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers on Oct. 4.

However, that estimate doesn't account for any additional conditioning or practice ramp-up, making Week 5 against the Chicago Bears another realistic target.

"I think the goal has always just been not right now but longevity with my career here, and I think they want that approach," Parsons explained, via Schneidman. “And we have a pretty strict nine-month rule. Just through the research and the data, there's no good outcomes for players coming back early from ACL, especially if you had other things that had to get fixed up.”
