It seems like controversies around the Detroit Lions will not come to an end. And yes, it does involve the franchise president, Rod Wood.

The reports are emerging via the Detroit Free Press that, post the allegation against the cornerback Terrion Arnold, the President Rod Wood called him into his office and “grilled” him about the situation. 

The case of potential involvement in an armed robbery which involves Terrion Arnold is tarnishing the image of the organization. 

Terrion is not charged with any felony but is alleged to be the mastermind of the armed robbery and kidnapping on February 04, 2026, in Tampa, Florida.

The case involves six defendants including The six co-defendants happen to be Jasmine Randazzo (19), Arianna Del Valle (18), Lyndell Hudson (26), Christian Williams (24), Boakai Hilton (23), and Arnold (23). And the victims Yan Lopez [Arnold's occasional driver], Tenesaca, and Anderson. 

Even though with all the events and allegations, the Lions have conducted their own review of the situation. The organization is showing its complete faith in Terrion and standing by his side.  

The event has gained traction as CB Terrion Arnold is an active NFL player. Once the news surfaced, everyone questioned the Lions' front office about it. 

Based on the prosecutor allege, Boakai Hilton orchestrated the robbery and the beating of three men on behalf of Arnold, with his girlfriend Del Valle [painted by the prosecutor] was the point of contact for instructions. 

Amidst the criticism around him, NFL commissioner Roger Goodell expressed his opinion on Arnold's situation.

Roger Goodell and Dan Campbell Share Their Stance on the Terrion Arnold Case

During the 2026 Annual NFL League Meeting in Phoenix, Arizona, Roger Goodell was also questioned about the disciplinary actions taken against Terrion Arnold. 

"Well, I think you just said he hasn't been charged. I mean, obviously, we've got to follow the facts,” Goodell said. “There are obligations for clubs to report, areas where there's a potential for any player -- excuse me -- personal conduct violations,” he added. “ But we obviously will follow up all of that and deal with it appropriately." 

In the same event, head coach Dan Campbell was also questioned about the case. He showed his complete faith in his cornerback.

Trust what the kid said that we're all right," he said. "We got all the information that says he wasn't involved. That's what we know, that's all we know, and I mean, that's really all I can say."

While the league is taking a cautious, fact-driven approach, Detroit is backing its player internally. 

For now, the case remains in a wait-and-see phase, with both the NFL and the Lions holding their positions as more clarity is expected to emerge.
