Retired NFL Star Drops Cryptic Message After Josh Jacobs Arrest

On May 26, the Green Bay Packers running back Josh Jacobs was arrested for multiple domestic violence charges. Although the RB has been released, the discussion around it has not stopped.
Amid the growing buzz, Robert Griffin III, a former quarterback of the Baltimore Ravens, shared a cryptic message on the arrest of Jacobs.
“Real men don’t hit women,” Robert Griffin wrote on X.
According to a Hobart/Lawrence Police Department press release, the Packers RB Jacobs has been arrested on five charges of felony. The other includes four misdemeanor charges.
Based on the charges, Jacobs was booked and taken to Brown County (Wisconsin) J***.
Per the press release, the incident goes back to Saturday, last week, when the Hobart/Lawrence Police Department officials received a complaint call in the morning, which involved Josh Jacobs.
"Josh vehemently denies the allegations, and this matter is in the early stages of investigation with important evidence that has not yet been made public," the statement released by Jacobs' attorneys read. "We ask for fairness and restraint while the judicial process takes its course."
On Wednesday, Jacobs was released. The Packers have also made their statement on Jacobs' situation.
Matt LaFleur Breaks Silence on Josh Jacobs’ Arrest
Amid the Josh Jacobs controversy, the Green Bay Packers head coach Matt LaFleur, addressed the media on Wednesday.
"I know there's going to be a lot of questions about Josh," LaFleur said. "I'm gonna stick with the statement that we put out as an organization and just let the process play out."
The Green Bay Packers had already issued their statement, obtained by NFL Network Insider Tom Pelissero.
"We are aware of the matter involving Josh Jacobs," the franchise said. "As it is an ongoing legal situation, we will withhold further comment."
The Packers signed Jacobs through 2024 free agency. In the last season, he appeared in 15 games for the Packers, rushed for 929 yards and scored 13 touchdowns.
Jacobs is entering the third year of a four-year, $48 million contract with the Packers. The RB earns a $10.2 million base salary this year.
