The Detroit Lions produced a convincing 45-21 victory over the Arizona Cardinals in Week 5. However, one of Detroit's biggest offensive stars was far from satisfied with his individual performance.

Amon-Ra St. Brown opened up about his display on the St. Brown Podcast alongside his brother, Equanimeous St. Brown. He reflected on last Sunday's game, which left him disappointed despite the team's dominant result.

The Lions wide receiver acknowledged that he fell short of his own expectations. Despite Detroit's comfortable win, St. Brown believed his performance ranked among his worst outings at home:

“I feel like I had a shi**y game if I'm being honest, one of my worst games I've ever had in Detroit. It just wasn't my best stuff, but we have a lot of great players on our team that picked me up.”

His assessment stood in contrast to the Lions' comfortable victory, which showcased the team's ability to produce on both sides of the ball.

St. Brown's comments also reflected the high standards he sets for himself. Even when Detroit secured a convincing win, he remained focused on what he could have done better.

Lions star praises teammates after difficult individual outing

Amon-Ra St. Brown credited his teammates for helping him through a difficult performance against the Cardinals.

The Lions wide receiver explained that good teams need players who can step up when their top performers struggle. He felt Detroit's supporting cast demonstrated that quality in Week 5.

Their contributions allowed the Lions to secure a comfortable victory despite St. Brown's admittedly disappointing outing. This highlighted the value of having multiple players capable of making an impact on a team.
