Rob Gronkowski has revealed one of his favorite players to watch in football right now.

The NFL legend singled out Detroit Lions running back Jahmyr Gibbs as his favorite player to watch. He made the admission while speaking with former New England Patriots teammate Julian Edelman on NFL on FOX.

Gronkowski praised the 24-year-old’s combination of speed, power, and versatility while explaining what he values in complete football players:

“One of my favorite players to watch in all of football right now is Jahmyr Gibbs. He's just so flashy; he runs with power, he runs with speed, he does it all. He's a three-down back, and that's what I appreciate. I appreciate complete football players, you know?”

Gronkowski then compared Gibbs’ versatility to his own game and Edelman’s. He noted he valued players who could contribute in various situations.

The NFL legend also highlighted Gibbs’ explosiveness and ability to make something happen whenever he gets the football. That combination made the Lions star particularly enjoyable to watch for Gronkowski.

Rob Gronkowski picks between Jahmyr Gibbs and Bijan Robinson

Rob Gronkowski continued praising Jahmyr Gibbs before Julian Edelman put him on the spot with a question involving a direct comparison.

He asked Gronkowski whether he would choose Gibbs over Atlanta Falcons running back Bijan Robinson. Gronkowski said he probably would, giving the Lions star the nod in the hypothetical comparison.

The exchange added another layer to Gronkowski’s earlier praise of Gibbs. His preference came after he had already described the Lions running back as a "complete player" who combined power, speed, versatility, and explosiveness.
