The teams have already started their three-day mandatory minicamps ahead of the 2026 NFL season, and many unsigned veterans are still looking for a new home. These veterans have proven their mettle, but to continue playing in the league, they are looking for opportunities. Per Sports Grid, these are the top 20 free agents who are still waiting for a potential landing spot.

Joey Bosa, EDGE

An elite plug-and-play situational edge disruptor from the Buffalo Bills who recorded five forced fumbles across 15 highly impactful games for the Bills. He is expected to sign a contract with the Seattle Seahawks. 

Taylor Decker, OT

The former Detroit Lions star left tackle was known for his locker-room leadership and durability on the field. He could fit into Ben Johnson’s scheme to protect Caleb Williams. He may land with the Chicago Bears.

Stefon Diggs, WR

A 32-year-old WR from the New England Patriots who acted as a production machine for them. He secured 85 receptions for 1,013 yards. Now he is back on the gridiron after clearing legal issues and might land with the Washington Commanders. 

Deebo Samuel, WR

The former Washington Commanders WR caught 72 passes last year, marking his highest total since his 2021 All-Pro campaign. His physical hybrid weapon can be used by the Chicago Bears to dismantle the opposing defensive lineups.

Kevin Zeitler, G

A 36-year-old guard from the Tennessee Titans is known for his dependable, high-level guard play with minimal drop-off. In 2025, he allowed just 16 pressures on 590 pass-blocking snaps. Being an elite interior presence, he can be an ideal plug-and-play fit in the San Francisco 49ers.

Jadeveon Clowney, EDGE

Coming from the Dallas Cowboys, where he ranked among the top edges in terms of pressure rate and racked up 8.5 sacks in 13 games. He can offer the Arizona Cardinals a proven trench toughness, which their young defense is looking for.

Bobby Wagner, LB

A 35-year-old renowned tackling machine from the Commanders is known for his elite defense. Wagner is a leader of the front seven, he acts as a stabilizing force that ensures the unit is never out of position. His skills can be best employed with the Atlanta Falcons. 

Trevon Diggs, CB

Due to disputes with coaches and a series of injuries, Diggs' availability in the field was questioned by many NFL analysts. In three seasons, he only appeared in 21 games however, his elite ball-tracking instincts remain unquestioned. The former Green Bay Packers CB is predicted to land in the New York Jets

Jonnu Smith, TE

After a quiet season with the Pittsburgh Steelers, in which he only yielded 222 yards, Smith entered a pivotal stage of his career. With an 884-yard season on his resume just two years ago, he could rediscover his form in Jim Harbaugh’s run-first offense. He is expected to land with the Chargers.

Haason Reddick, EDGE

Reddick remains a free agent as his raw production dipped significantly during his recent tenure with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. Although his speed in the field still remains his elite weapon that the Houston Texans can use.

Marshon Lattimore, CB

After several physically demanding seasons with the Commanders, Lattimore appears ready for a new chapter. His aggressive press-man coverage skills align well with the Packers defensive philosophy. His veteran presence would add valuable experience to a young secondary.

Tyreek Hill, WR

Hill is known for his deep threats, who is capable of changing a game with his elite speed. Coming out of the Miami Dolphins, he is looking at a potential reunion with the Kansas City Chiefs. He could add another dimension to the Chiefs’ passing attack as they pursue another Super Bowl run.

Keenan Allen, WR

A veteran with 13 years of experience, Allen, a former Charger, is expected to sign with the Chargers themselves. His route running and elite third-down conversion rate remain highly effective, which gives the quarterback a reliable security blanket.

Darren Waller, TE

Waller's recent stint with the Dolphins reminded teams of his value as a dynamic pass catcher. With his wide receiver-like athleticism and rare frame, he can stretch defenses down the seam and provide Lamar Jackson of the Ravens with a reliable weapon.

Najee Harris, RB

The former Chargers is known for his physical, durable running style and his inspiring journey in the NFL. He is expected to sign a contract with the Carolina Panthers, where he can provide a reliable rushing baseline, easing the pocket pressure.

Von Miller, EDGE

The future Hall of Famer still offers a wealth of experience, leadership, and proven pass-rushing ability. A return to Bills in a rotational role would allow Miller to mentor the next generation of defenders while continuing to make an impact in key passing situations.

Rasul Douglas, CB

Known for his ball-hawking ability and strong instincts in coverage, Douglas, from the Dolphins, brings the intelligence and toughness that the Patriots value as it continues rebuilding the foundation of its defense.

Matt Milano, LB

A veteran LB from the Bills is projected to land in the Buccaneers. He is recovering from multiple injuries, which is also a primary reason for remaining in free agency. His elite sideline-to-sideline speed and coverage instincts will help the Buccaneers to secure the midfield.

Mekhi Becton, OT

Former Chargers’ offensive tackle, who has proved his durability by starting 14 games for them amid severe early-career injuries. The Patriots could utilize his massive frame and raw power to protect the blindside of Drake Maye. 

Donovan Wilson, S

The former hard-hitting safety from the Cowboys, who is known for playing down in the box against the run. Many NFL pundits believe that he might land with the Philadelphia Eagles, where he will reinforce their backend rotation.
