Miller started 54 consecutive games at Clemson and established himself as one of the most reliable offensive linemen in college football. That experience was a major reason the Lions selected him in the first round.

Penei Sewell(OT) is expected to move to left tackle, allowing Miller to settle into the right tackle position, where he played most of his college career.

The expectations surrounding Blake Miller were already high after comparison with Taylor Decker. Now, the newly released draft footage has provided another reason for Detroit fans to feel confident about the rookie tackle.

According to the behind-the-scenes video from the Carolina Panthers' draft room, there was disappointment clearly seen when the Lions selected Miller with the No. 17 overall pick.

The footage suggested Carolina had interest in Clemson before Detroit took him off the board, as per Yahoo Sports. However, the Lions selected Miller, who will be a vital part of their roster.
