Aaron Rodgers' 500th touchdown was also Conklin's fourth receiving TD of the 2024 season, a single-season high. In his recent interview, the tight end revealed a surprising twist to the remarkable moment involving a gift he is yet to receive.

In a recent interview with NFL analyst Tony Reid, Tyler Conklin of Detroit recalled catching QB Aaron Rodgers' 500th regular-season touchdown pass, which made Rodgers the only fifth player in NFL history to reach the milestone.

Conklin asked for a jersey as a souvenir, which he hasn't received yet from Rodgers.

"I did ask Aaron to send me a jersey because I caught his 500th touchdown ball," said Tyler Conklin to Tony Reid in an interview. "He said he’s going to send me one. We’re still waiting on it. Yeah, I’m not going to question him about it, but after catching his 500th touchdown, it would be a cool little thing to have."

During Conklin's Q&A with Tony Reid via Sports Collectors Daily, he carried a lighthearted tone rather than frustration. He acknowledged that Rodgers likely has his hands full and made it clear he has no intentions of forcing him about the missing jersey.

Still, owning the game-worn jersey that marks such a historic achievement of the veteran quarterback would have been one of the biggest moments of his life.

Rodgers reached the 500-touchdown milestone on January 5, 2025, during the Jets' regular-season finale against the Miami Dolphins, where they won 32-20.

He recorded a 5-yard throw, joining Tom Brady, Drew Brees, Peyton Manning, and Brett Favre. Rodgers even finished that game with four touchdown passes, raising his career total to 503.

After spending four seasons with the Minnesota Vikings and three with the Jets, the Michigan native signed with the Lions in March.

While Rodgers' jersey has yet to make its way to Detroit, Conklin had nothing but praise when talking about the chance to share the field with the star QB, Aaron Rodgers.

Tyler Conklin has played with many star offensive weapons and eight different quarterbacks, including Kirk Cousins and Tyrod Taylor, but his experience of playing with Rodgers was something else.

"Obviously, being a Green Bay fan growing up, playing with Aaron was awesome," said Conklin to Tony Reid in the same Sports Collectors Daily report. "The way he throws the ball and just how he used the game of football was just really cool. I got to know Aaron. I really enjoyed my time with him. I played with him in New York. I had, like, eight quarterbacks."

Conklin admitted that playing for Rodgers was a dream come true after growing up as a Green Bay Packers fan. He enjoyed getting to know him while playing for the New York Jets.

After catching passes from roughly eight different QBs in New York, Conklin suggested Rodgers' football knowledge and precision made the experience more memorable. He is now excited to play alongside the Lions' QB Jared Goff.
