Flights can be booked directly on Delta Air Lines' website or through the Fly Delta app. The announcement came after Detroit released its official 2026 schedule on Thursday, May 14.
With the Lions playing their first international game in a decade, a strong turnout from fans traveling to Germany is expected.
Detroit Lions Return to the Global Stage
Since Detroit last played internationally in 2015, an entirely new wave of Lions supporters will now experience the team overseas for the first time.
The game will be taking place at Bayern Munich's Allianz Arena, as the franchise continues working to grow its international fanbase.
"We are thrilled to be playing internationally and specifically in Munich for the 2026 season," Lions president and CEO Rod Wood said in a statement. "As an organization, we have invested greatly in the German market and are excited to play in front of our passionate German fans."
After finishing 9-8 in 2025 and missing the postseason for the first time since 2022, the Lions head into 2026 with significant changes to both their roster and staff. Their Week 10 showdown in Munich arrives at an important point in the team’s pursuit of another NFC North crown.
The quick move by Delta Air Lines shows the strong level of interest among Lions fans traveling for the game. With seats now available across multiple cabin classes, fans will have enough options to choose from while travelling overseas to support the Lions.
