Recently, Brad Holmes made headlines for his reaction to a question during a press conference. The Lions GM was asked about the current roster, and wasn't happy with what he heard, leading to a hostile reaction.

The question had to do with the Lions' cornerback room. Having lost Terrion Arnold, the team's depth in that position was looking a little light. However, they did nothing about it over the off-season.

So, one reporter dared asked about it, and Holmes didn't take it well. He doubled down on the front office's decision, claiming they are happy with the current state of the roster.

Well, his reaction is now being mocked. 97.1 The Ticket's Mike Valenti joked about how he and other Detroit-based GMs think they're the smartest guys in the room.

"Between Scott Harris, Brad Holmes, Dark man, or whoever the hell is going to be the GM, it was Yzerman, and then Trajan Langdon, there's no people who have accomplished less who think more of themselves than what we have in this. It's remarkable to me."

Clearly the fans and the media alike aren't happy without how Holmes handled the situation. But, only time will tell if his assessment of the current roster proves true.

Brad Holmes Addresses futures of two Lions stars

Brad Holmes and the Lions will have to work with the roster that they have now. But, even that roster could be subject to change. After all, some key players are on the final year of their respective contracts.

The players in question? Sam LaPorta and Brian Branch. Both are on the final year of their rookie deals and are key players for the Lions. Speaking about them, Holmes made it clear that they plan to keep them.

That being said, a lot can happen between now and the end of the season. Hopefully when all is said and done these two superstars are still on the roster.
