The Green Bay Packers running back Josh Jacobs was arrested on Tuesday in Brown County, Wisconsin. Now, Jacobs’ attorneys have released a statement adding a major development to the situation.

According to NFL.com, he was arrested on multiple charges, including battery and disorderly conduct. The bond amount was set at $1,350, and he was released on Wednesday.

"We are extremely pleased that Josh has been released from custody and that no criminal charges have been filed against him," attorneys David Chesnoff, Richard Schonfeld and Clarence Duchac said in a statement Wednesday.

“As previously stated, we encourage everyone to keep an open mind while the matter is fully reviewed. We remain confident that, once all of the evidence is gathered and evaluated, it will confirm that no charges should be brought against Josh in the future,” the statement further read.

Jacobs was released after the district attorney's office decided to go for further investigation into the matter before filing any charges. The news of that broke during Wednesday's OTA practice.

Head coach Matt LaFleur gave his statement on the matter.

"I know there's going to be a lot of questions about Josh," LaFleur said. "I'm going to stick with the statement that we put out as an organization and just let the process play out."

So, the investigation is ongoing, and Jacobs has denied all allegations against him.

After Josh Jacobs' arrest, his attorneys released a statement on his behalf.

"Josh vehemently denies the allegations, and this matter is in the early stages of investigation with important evidence that has not yet been made public," the statement read. "We ask for fairness and restraint while the judicial process takes its course."

The NFL, which has strict policies for on and off-field matters, also made its stance clear on it.

"We are aware of the report and have been in contact with the club," the NFL said in a statement.

Jacobs enters his eighth year in the league and signed a four-year, $48 million contract with the Packers in 2024.
