On Wednesday, May 26, the Green Bay Packers linebacker Josh Jacobs was arrested on alleged domestic violence charges. Although the linebacker has been released, the surrounding chatter has not stopped yet.

Amid the growing buzz around the Jacobs situation, former Detroit Lions running back Adrian Peterson got on X and gave his opinion and lobbied about non-violence.

“He’s got to be better, violence is never the answer for ANY situation,” Peterson wrote on X.

Per the press release made by the Hobart/Lawrence Police Department, Jacobs has been arrested on five charges of felony, including four misdemeanor charges.

The charges include misdemeanor counts, criminal damage to property, disorderly conduct, and intimidation of a victim, as per the j*** records.

The Packers’ RB was booked on the charges, and he was taken to Brown County (Wisconsin) J***.

According to the press release, the incident happened on Saturday, last week, when the Hobart/Lawrence Police Department officials received a complaint call in the morning, which involved the Packers running back.

"Josh vehemently denies the allegations, and this matter is in the early stages of investigation with important evidence that has not yet been made public," the statement released by Jacobs' attorneys read. "We ask for fairness and restraint while the judicial process takes its course."

Based on the report obtained by NFL insider Ian Rapoport, Jacobs pleaded not guilty to the alleged charges filed against him.

Later on Wednesday, May 27, 2026, Josh Jacobs was released. The Jacobs situation has gathered many statements, among which was former QB Griffin.

Robert Griffin III Reacts Strongly to Josh Jacobs’ Arrest Situation

The reactions to the situation came from many in the NFL community, among them was the Baltimore Ravens’ former quarterback Robert Griffin III, who shared his reaction via X.

“Real men don’t hit women,” Robert Griffin wrote on his X.

Amid the controversy, many praised Griffin for his clear stance and intolerance toward the crime against women.

Although his reaction came in early, Jacobs was later released as the Brown County District Attorney had explicitly delayed formal charges due to a lack of sufficient evidence.

With not much information available in the public domain, his attorneys have requested to see him with unbiased eyes.
