The NFL community rallied around Cincinnati Bengals offensive lineman Dalton Risner and his wife, Whitney Marie, after the couple shared the heartbreaking news that they had lost their baby boy at 16 weeks of pregnancy.

Jared Goff's wife, Christen Goff, was one of many members of the Bengals community who stepped forward to support Dalton Risner and Whitney Marie in the comments on the Instagram post.

"Whitney, I'm so sorry. There are no words. I'll be thinking of you and sending so much love and prayer to you both," Christen wrote.

Whitney shared the devastating news in an emotional Instagram post on Friday, revealing that she and Dalton had lost their baby boy during the second trimester.

"At 16 weeks, Dalton and I found out we lost our sweet baby boy," Whitney wrote. "I wish I was writing any other post than this right now. I never imagined our journey to starting a family would begin like this…"

Whitney also revealed that it was the second pregnancy loss the couple had experienced within just a few months, making the journey even more painful.

“This is our second loss in just a couple of months,” Whitney continued. “I don’t know exactly what the future holds, and that uncertainty is incredibly hard…To everyone who has prayed for us, checked in on us, and loved us through this journey to starting a family, thank you."

Later in the post, Marie thanked everyone for sending prayers her way and also thanked her husband, Dalton Risner, for his unconditional support in her hour of need.

Christen's message reflected the wave of support that followed Whitney's announcement, with others from around the NFL also reaching out to comfort the couple.

As the news surfaced about the loss of their baby, condolences and prayers came from everywhere. One of them was the wife of Bengals kicker Evan McPherson. 

“Whitney, I’m so so sorry praying over you & your sweet family,” Gracie McPherson commented on the same Whitney Marie’s Instagram post. 

Gracie's message echoed the outpouring of support from friends, teammates, and loved ones.
