As the 2026 NFL Draft comes to an end, the Detroit Lions are dipping their hands for some offensive weapons in free agency. Among those players, one of them hopes to bring the championship experience for the team.

NFL insider Adam Schefter reported that Super Bowl LV champion WR Scotty Miller visited the Lions’ Allen Performance Center on April 28.

The 29-year-old wide receiver is making rounds in free agency, with a pitstop at the Detroit Lions' headquarters. Previously, Miller played for the Pittsburgh Steelers in 2024 and 2025.

With the Steelers’ drafting rookies WRs Kaden Wetjen and Germie Bernard during this year's draft, Miller has less hope of landing a contract for a third season with the team.

NFL insider Aaron Wilson reported that even the Tennessee Titans’ wide receiver, James Proche, has paid a visit to the Lions' facility.

Lions' GM Brad Holmes has been vocal about their scouting process. Speaking to sportscaster Dan Miller, he emphasized that the team is evaluating free agents to keep the team competitive.

“I’m actually excited about getting going next week, looking if there are any guys still out there. We have already identified veteran free agents who are still available," Homles stated. "There might be some guys who got invited to minicamps that might not get signed. We might have another spot left that we can sign. You never know what is going to come across the waivers.”

Scotty Miller started his NFL journey with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, who selected him in the sixth round of the 2019 NFL Draft. He was with the team for four years, helping them win the Superbowl in 2020.

Miller spent the 2023 season with the Atlanta Falcons. Later on, he was with the Pittsburgh Steelers from 2024 to 2025.

Scotty Miller will also be visiting the Chicago Bears next week. The suspense is building with Miller’s fans eagerly waiting to see which team he lands with for the 2026 season.

Miller’s Super Bowl LV Win

Throughout his seven-year journey in the NFL, Miller has recorded 1,154 receiving yards in 90 interceptions, according to Pro Football Reference.

He had the most productive season in 2020 with the Buccaneers, where he recorded 33 receptions for 501 yards and three touchdowns.

Miller also earned his first Superbowl ring in 2020 when he helped his team, Tampa Bay Buccaneers, win against the Kansas City Chiefs. The 31-9 Superbowl LV win raised his status as a reliable wideout in the league.

The 5’9, 174lbs WR comes with veteran presence, explosive plays and Superbowl success. Miller hopes to benefit the Lions if they choose to give him a contract in the free agency this off-season.
