Jared Goff didn’t need his helmet or cleats to get Detroit fans buzzing. The Detroit Lions quarterback Jared Goff was spotted courtside during the 2026 NBA Playoffs, which drew attention from fans as he showed support for the Detroit Pistons.

“#OnePride is in the building!” read the Detroit Pistons' X caption during the major match night.

At the Little Caesars Arena in Detroit, the Pistons hosted the Cleveland Cavaliers in Game 1 of the Eastern Conference semifinals, wherein the Pistons defeated the Cavaliers by 111-101, taking a 1-0 lead.

It was not just Jared Goff. Lions’ star Amon-Ra St. Brown, Jameson Williams, and Jahmyr Gibbs have also marked their attendance to show their support for the Pistons.

The Lions’ head coach, Dan Campbell, also appeared in a Pistons playoff game last season against the New York Knicks.

This was not a one-off appearance. Jared Goff has been a familiar face at Detroit Pistons games, showing up at Little Caesars Arena as far back as April 2025 against the New York Knicks, and again in April 2026 for a playoff clash with the Orlando Magic.

Moments like this continue to strengthen his standing with fans, turning him into a recognizable face of Detroit sports culture, not just the Detroit Lions.

Jared Goff Wins Over Detroit Fans

Jared Goff’s courtside appearance at a Detroit Pistons playoff game quickly turned into a fan moment, with reactions pouring in.

“SB Champ Soon! Winner,” one fan posted.

The comment tied Goff’s presence to bigger expectations ahead of the season. 

“Legend,” another fan said, keeping it simple.

A third fan spoke about how this presence made a huge impact as the franchise's face.

“That’s my Quarterback,” the reaction read.

Since signing with the Lions, Goff has been a production machine, appearing in all matches since 2022. Even in the Lions' last season without the playoffs, he maintained a high level of production.

While appearing in 17 games, he threw for 4,564 yards while scoring 34 touchdowns, for which he also received a Pro Bowl selection. 

Other fans leaned into the emotion of the moment.

“My king,” one fan wrote, while another pushed the energy even further. “Can you guys start a JA RED GOFF chant?”
