The Detroit Lions quarterback, Jared Goff, celebrated his wife, Christen Harper, as she completed another trip around the sun.
Christen Harper Goff turned 33 on Thursday, and Jared shared beautiful Instagram stories from the celebration with a beautiful message for his beloved.
“Happy Birthday, Babe! You are the rock who holds it all together,” Goff wrote. “I am so lucky to do life with you! I love you!”

Jared shared a stunning photo of Christen posing with a candle-lit birthday sundae. This birthday celebration was almost a year after the couple welcomed their first daughter, Romy Isabelle Goff.
Harper’s birthdays have matched important moments in her life. Last year, she celebrated while she was pregnant with Romy, who was born two months later in July.
Her 31st birthday came just weeks before her wedding to Goff on June 22, 2024.
The couple was first linked in 2019, and after dating for three years, Goff proposed to her during a beach vacation in Los Cabos, Mexico. And they tied the knot two years later.
The beautiful pair has continued to support each other through every stage of their relationship, balancing both NFL life and Harper’s growing modeling career.
Harper has remained by his side through career changes, difficult NFL seasons, and major moments with the Detroit Lions.
But while Goff continues to celebrate special moments with his family off the field, the Lions are focused on getting the right support behind him for the upcoming NFL season.
Lions Eye Anthony Richardson as Potential Backup Behind Jared Goff
The Detroit Lions are searching for stability behind Jared Goff. According to YardBarker’s Anne Erickson, the Lions are looking to strengthen their quarterback room even after adding talented rookies during the 2026 NFL Draft.
"Teddy Bridgewater and Luke Altmyer are behind Goff on the depth chart, but neither inspires confidence as a viable backup QB," Erickson wrote on May 28.
Detroit already has Goff as the starting quarterback, but the backup situation remains uncertain with Teddy Bridgewater and Luke Altmyer not fully convincing as reliable options if Goff misses time.
That is where ESPN’s Ben Solak believes Anthony Richardson Sr. could enter the picture. Solak proposed a trade where the Lions would receive Richardson and a 2028 seventh-round pick from the Indianapolis Colts in exchange for a 2027 fourth-round pick.
“General manager Brad Holmes and coach Dan Campbell tend to like quarterbacks with bigger bodies, so Richardson is a good fit," Solak wrote. "Campbell is an elite motivator who might help light a new fire under Richardson, either as a backup who prepares the right way or as a spot starter in the event of a Jared Goff injury.”
Richardson is entering the final year of his $34 million rookie contract and will be a free agent in 2027. While he has not fully proven himself as a long-term franchise quarterback, the trade could give Detroit a younger backup option for the future.
