The Detroit Lions star wide receiver Amon-Ra St. Brown has finally gone down on his knees to start his forever with his high school love, Brooklyn Adams. 

On Tuesday, July 07, 2026, in a joint Instagram post, the Motor City’s power couple announced their engagement while holding hands at sunset, along with the caption, “Hard launch.”

After a decade of love and commitment, Amon-Ra proposed to Brooklyn Adams aboard a yacht, where the couple, dressed in matching white outfits, took the first step toward walking down the aisle.

According to people.com, the couple started dating in their sophomore year at ‌high school in California. 

“People either fall in love, or they don’t. I think for me, it’s just being myself,” Amon-Ra said while giving an interview to People. “You can’t please everyone at the end of the day. And that’s with everyone. So, for me, it’s just being myself each and every day.”

Their time together was not easy after their high school ended, the couple went into long-distance, as Amon-Ra had to play football and Adams had to pursue nursing.

Their bond was also showcased in the 2024 Netflix docuseries “Receiver,” which highlighted Adams as a supportive partner while she maintained her own professional identity.

Back in 2025, the couple also bought a house together after Adams graduated ‌from nursing school. 

The proposal marks a major milestone for the couple, who have been waiting for the moment since their high school days.

As the news surfaced on social media, the NFL community showered their love on the couple, with the quarterback, back Jared Goff, commenting an emoticon of a face holding back tears.

The celebration didn't stop with Jared Goff, as congratulations continued to pour in from across the NFL.

Caleb Williams joins NFL stars celebrating Amon-Ra St. Brown

On the auspicious occasion, the Chicago Bears starter Caleb Williams also wished the couple and commented on their joint post on Instagram.

“Love this content,” Caleb Williams commented. “Wow.”

Despite the arch rivalry between the Detroit Lions and the Chicago Bears, quarterback Caleb Williams and Amon-Ra share a strong off-field bond that goes back to their same alma mater.

Back in 2025, Amon-Ra also defended the QB against the heavy media and fan criticism of the false narratives through his podcast.

Although on the gridiron, both players will be playing against each other to lay their hands on the Lombardi Trophy, but for one day, NFC North rivalries took a back seat as they came together to celebrate Amon-Ra St. Brown's biggest moment off the field.
