After the former Green Bay Packers quarterback Kurt Benkert called Jared Goff the worst QB in the NFC North division, now an analyst has made claims by calling Goff “the most disrespected player”.

While ranking “Top 10 QBs entering the 2026 season” on The Herd w/Colin Cowherd, NFL analyst Colin Cowherd has called Detroit Lions QB Goff the most disrespected player in the league while ranking him No. 9.

“Number nine, the most disrespected player in the league, Jared Goff,” said Cowherd on the X post. “All he does is win. He's the only quarterback in the league, the only one, four straight seasons with four thousand plus passing yards.”

The list featured Josh Allen as No.1, followed by Patrick Mahomes as No.2, and Caleb Williams as No.3.

Matthew Stafford won a Super Bowl with the Los Angeles Rams, whereas for Goff, it was just 1,089 yards and five touchdowns in seven games.

But moving forward in the league, Goff has made a name for himself, and he clears all three parameters of Cowherd: production, durability, and momentum. 

As Cowherd pointed out, Goff has managed over 4,400 passing yards in each of his last four seasons. Additionally, he has started every single game during that time, too.

“And strangely, never misses a start. He and Caleb Williams, they don't get hurt ever,” Cowherd further said. 

Goff is loved by his teammates and fans and respected by coaches. Even in the last season where the Lions missed the playoffs, Goff was still consistent with his production.

Goff may be criticized by the media for his pocket mobility, rushing yards, and not winning the Super Bowl for the Lions, but he has always delivered. And one NFL analyst backs him, all the way.

NFL Analyst Believes Jared Goff Remains Best QB in NFC North

As the Motor City team gears up for the 2026 NFL campaign, all eyes are locked in on their quarterback, Jared Goff, to lead the Lions to the Super Bowl.

While speaking on the Pat McAfee Show this Wednesday, the ESPN NFL analyst Dan Orlovsky ranked the Lions QB Jared Goff as No.1 in the NFC North division.

"If I'm ranking the NFC North quarterbacks, I would put Goff at one, (Green Bay Packers QB Jordan) Love at two. And that would be a clear one-two for me,” Orlovsky told McAfee. “And then there would be a gap … and then...I’d go Caleb (Williams) at three, Kyler (Murray) at four.” 

A few analysts even predict that Goff could be an MVP candidate at the end of the 2026 season, given his trajectory.

Goff will surely be preparing for his redemption season to restore the Detroit Lions' title in the NFC North.
