"It's about f*ckin time" - Lions star Aidan Hutchinson sends Super Bowl message

Imago

Last season was one to forget for the Lions. Despite having what many believed to be one of the best rosters in the NFL, they underperformed, finishing last in the NFC North and failing to make the Playoffs.

Well, this season, enough is enough. At least that's how star defensive end Aidan Hutchinson feels. The 26-year-old recently had a golf outing with Lions QB Jared Goff, where they discussed many things. This includes the disappointment that was last season.

He asked Goff if this is the year they'd finally win the Super Bowl. Of course, QB1 responded with positivity. Hutchinson on the other hand, while confident, reminisced about the last few seasons, before stating just how badly he wants to win this year.

"What do you think? Is this the year...is this the year we do it? It's about f*ckin time dude!"

In their 96 year history, the Lions have never won a Super Bowl. Will this be the year they finally do it? Well, for Aidan Hutchinson's sake, let's hope so.

Lions GM Brad Holmes is under fire

Whether or not the Lions win the Super Bowl is dependent on two things. How they perform, and of course, the roster they assemble. The performance part is all on Dan Campbell and the players.

However, building the roster is the job of the front office and the GM Brad Holmes. Have they done their job? Well, Lions fans and the media seem to disagree.

Many believe that the Lions are still a little light in some departments. For example, offensive line and cornerback. With that in mind, recently, Holmes was questioned about this, to which he had a very defensive and hostile response.

Now he is under fire with many questioning his position as GM. The only way he can redeem himself is probably if the team goes out and wins with the roster at hand. But only time will tell.
