The uncertainty around the Chicago Bears' multi-million-dollar dream project is far from‌ over. Previously, with the contamination issue, and now the project is again under fire from analysts, as the taxpayers' money will be used. 

In a straightforward take on the situation, Dan Bernstein of 312 Sports raised his concerns around the involvement of Indiana taxpayers' money in the construction of the shiny domed playground for the Bears in the Dan Bernstein Unfiltered segment. 

“ There's no promises. There's no guarantee that taxpayer money is going to be is stewarded in the way that you want,” Bernstein said. “But with the starting point is bears do the work.”

Bernstein raised his concerns because the Indiana stadium project's offer was approved for funding from the state. Around $1B tax players' money would be directed for the construction and infrastructural development of the Bears stadium.  

According to Tom Davies of the Indiana Capital Chronicle, it is expected that the funds would be diverted from Lake and Porter counties for the project. 

Not only this, but an amount of $700M will also be arranged from the Indiana Toll Road’s private operator. 

Amid the taxpayers' money row, the Bears' front office and the Illinois state department are in constant touch to craft a solution around the situation, per Bernstein. 

In a rare sighting, the Board of Directors has decided to move to Indiana, as the government was not granting them the specific property tax breaks and infrastructure funding.

But it seems like the saga of certainty is here to stay with the Bears. 

Bernstein also highlighted the wasteland situation, which was raised by many environmentalists, PFT Commenter, and Zach from Barstool Sports' Pardon.

Bears' Relocation to Indiana Faces New Hurdle After Heavy Contamination Confirmation

In a sketch comedy experiment done by Eric Sollenberger, aka PFT Commenter, and his assistant Zach from Barstool Sports' Pardon My Take, they took the samples from Hammond and tested them for‌ contamination levels.

For the experiment, they travelled to Hammond and collected the soil and water for potential lead and arsenic contamination. 

During the experiment, they used multiple reagents to test the sample to confirm arsenic contamination and a cotton swab test for lead. 

In the surprising results, the sample soil showed heavy lead traces, whereas the arsenic contamination remains unclear. 

Their experiment also validated the theories of environmentalists and added another layer of clarity to the ground situation.
