By becoming the first quarterback in NFL history to throw a "perfect game" by completing 100% of his passes on more than 10 attempts. Many people believed that Jared Goff is only good because of his coaches. 

Even after a Splendid performance like that, his recent glaring absence from the PFF 101 has fans arguing over whether he is actually elite or just lucky.

On February 22, Detroit Sports Influencer shared a post on X of the PFF Top 101 list in which she put it as a caption, “ No Jared Goff makes this list completely illegitimate.”

While some of the fan base were negative by not having faith in Goff's talent, many remained loyal to him, viewing him as an elite leader.

The Conversations about Jared Goff usually get him into the centre of attention because his results are better than the credit he gets. One of the fans wrote while agreeing on the post, "PFF itself is completely illegitimate."

While being disappointed after not seeing Goff's name on the list, even though he does have an overall amazing record of  more than 39,000 passing yards, recorded 256 touchdown passes against just above 100 interceptions, and maintained a completion rate around 65.9% with a passer rating close to 96.8.

As per Goff's fans believe PFF grading system continuously favors a quarterback who extends play, scramble and creates something out of nothing. Goff wins with timing, strong pre-snaps, and accurate throws from a clean pocket.

What happened when the conversation around Goff reached the Fanbase

When the Goff conversation reached fans, the discussion quickly grew more intense, louder. The original poster replied to her own post," Didn’t play a lot of last season 😬," and another fan replied on the post stating, “Exactly💯  Jared Goff had a great season Put up All Pro numbers” in a deep layer of sarcasm and truth, there are real facts of the 2025 performance: 4,564 passing yards with 34 touchdowns.

One Supporter commented, "Dak Prescott being 45 and Jared Goff not being top 101 is unbelievably hilarious", talking about the bias and not being performance based list.

Although Goff outproduced Prescott in 2025 with a superior 105.5 passer rating, he's still criticised for his traditional pocket style. The numbers clearly show he outperformed several quarterbacks ranked ahead of him.

In the end, this whole debate says more about the opinions than the performance, while some negative talks continue to question his style, the results on the field tell a different story.
