On Friday, former Detroit Lions cornerback Terrion Arnold has been granted bail and is out on a $1 million bond. Arnold was arrested in June on multiple felony charges related to an alleged robbery and kidnapping incident in February in Tampa.

Moreover, the court has also ruled in Arnold’s favor, removing the stipulation to wear an ankle monitor. Arnold’s agent, Nicole Lynn, told the court that Arnold has already had workouts scheduled with NFL teams, per ESPN. 

“He actually had a workout with the team, an NFL team, just yesterday. So he was in their facility, they paid for him to fly in, he did a physical, which shows you how serious these teams are about him,” Lynn told the court. “With an ankle monitor, it would be extremely difficult and maybe even impossible for him to get a job.”

According to the July 10 ESPN report, Hillsborough County State Attorney’s Office argued that since Arnold was no longer with the Lions, the conditions for his release should be modified. They requested that he should be made to wear a GPS ankle monitor.

Arnold’s legal team voiced their opinion and countered that an ankle monitor would severely limit his ability to take part in workouts and physical examinations with NFL teams. Judge Jeffrey Rich eventually rejected the prosecution's request.

Lynn also suggested that Arnold could sign with an NFL team in the next 45 days, but did not give a guarantee on it since there is no contract or verbal agreement yet with any team. 

The former 2024 first-round pick for the Lions cleared waivers on Monday and is an unrestricted free agent.

Despite injury concerns and legal troubles, Arnold is still a very good prospect for any NFL team looking for a cornerback.

In fact, per the July 10 ESPN report Lynn told the court that she has already received inquiries from four different teams within just 24 hours of Arnold getting cut from the Lions.

The Seattle Seahawks, who were last year’s Super Bowl champions, along with AFC East’s New York Jets, AFC South’s Indianapolis Colts, and the Houston Texans, got in touch with Lynn regarding Arnold’s availability, per ESPN.

Arnold is said to have gone for a workout with the Texans on July 9. While no team has offered Arnold a contract, he is a hot commodity, and he might be back in the league sooner rather than later. It will definitely be interesting to see which team he ends up with.
