Amon-Ra St. Brown has been a nightmare for Cooper DeJean to get hold of. And that’s why the Philadelphia Eagles’ star offered high praise for St.Brown. 

Recently, the 22-year-old cornerback appeared on Radio Row, a show by Pro Football Talk.

That's when host Chris Simms asked the wide receiver which player made him think, “Holy cow, I can’t believe this guy is that good.”

He answered St.Brown. In his reply, he complimented his running route and stated that catching him is as difficult as catching Puka Nacua.

“Amon-Ra, obviously, I knew he was good, but how strong he is running routes and at the catch point definitely surprised me a little bit,” DeJean stated.

“I think I’m a strong guy, but going against him, the way he runs his routes and how physical he is, him and Puka.”

What makes this compliment significant is the fact that the two players have faced each other on the field only once.

St.Brown and DeJean competed in Week 11 of this season. While the Eagles won 16-9, DeJean faced a challenge in holding back St.Brown, who caught the ball twice for 42 yards on 12 targets.

As per PFF, DeJean covered St.Brown and ensured he failed to catch all three targets.

And yet, St.Brown left a lasting impression on DeJean, who displayed a dominating performance.

When asked how he felt about DeJean’s compliment, St.Brown stated that he felt honored.

“Honored that he would say something like that,” St. Brown said on the Fantasy Football Happy Hour show, also hosted by Simms.

“I feel like there are so many good receivers in this league, to me, that are elite that can do stuff at a high level.”

The Lions ended the 2025 season with a 9-8 record and third place in the NFC North. But St.Brown remained a standout player. He recorded 11 touchdowns for 1,401 yards out of 117 receptions. 

In Week 12, St.Brown gave his season-best performance of 149 yards against the New York Giants.

While both players shared mutual admiration, fans would have to wait for the next season to see them compete again. Would you watch the game?
