A simple team post turned into a fan moment for the Detroit Lions. 

Ahead of the 2026 NFL season, the Lions shared a fresh image of Jared Goff from offseason activity with the presence of QB2 Teddy Bridgewater that quickly turned the heads of many fans. 

The glimpses are coming from the training facility of the Detroit Lions at the Meijer Performance Center, Allen Park, Michigan. 

The backup QB had retired in 2024, following which he became the HC for Miami Northwestern High School. However, in the latter part of 2024, he came out of his retirement and played as a backup for the Buccaneers. Finally, in 2026, he signed with the Lions in the quarterback depth chart.

Bridgewater started his NFL career with the Minnesota Vikings in 2014 and later went on to play for the Saints, Dolphins, Broncos, Panthers, and Buccaneers.

According to the Detroit Lions on SI, their offseason workouts began on April 20. 

As Phase 1 kicks in, they will be doing conditioning workouts over the span of two weeks. It will be followed by a Phase 2 workout plan, where they officially begin their training for the 2026 NFL campaign. 

According to Sports Illustrated, the Lions have yet to announce their official training camp dates, but this time they will be holding three OTA sessions to get the squad ready for the 2026 NFL season. 

Fans React as Detroit QB2 Steals Spotlight in Latest Lions Update

The Lions didn’t just post another offseason image but a glimpse of their offseason workout. 

Once, the fans spotted QB2 Teddy Bridgewater, their focus immediately locked in on the quarterback room, and the reactions followed fast.

A lot of the energy centered around the return of the 33-year-old QB Teddy Bridgewater. 

“Nice to have Teddy back,” one fan wrote, pointing to the value of experience behind the starter. 

It didn’t take long for the excitement to grow louder either, with another fan jumping in, “DEEETROIT LIOOONSS!!”

Then came the expectations: last season, the Lions were not able to qualify for the playoffs.

And now the fans wanted results, “yall should have minimum 14 wins,” a fan posted, setting the bar high before the season even began. Another kept it simple but just as telling, “We are so back.”

The post represented a team with momentum, a proven depth at quarterback, and the fans are already liking it.
