The Detroit Lions suffered a 41-31 loss to the Buffalo Bills in Week 2. However, head coach Dan Campbell is refusing to let the setback shake his confidence.

Campbell acknowledged the frustration inside Detroit’s locker room. However, he believes the Lions can fix their problems and expects his team to respond accordingly.

“Look, I don’t like what happened the other night. None of us do. Players don’t, all that. But I also know as bad as it was, it’s not as bad as it appears to be,” Campbell told reporters Monday.

“And so, no, I’m not discouraged. To me, it’s always been pretty black and white: these are the issues, and this is what we’ve got to do to correct them. And we will correct them, and if we can’t, then we’ll find the right guys to correct them, and we get better.”

Campbell does not view the loss as a sign that the Lions have fallen apart. He believes correcting the problems can help Detroit regain their confidence again.

Lions head coach details what Detroit must fix moving forward

Dan Campbell explained how corrections could help the Detroit Lions rebuild their rhythm. He pointed to players doing their jobs, trusting teammates, and creating consistency.

The Lions host the New York Jets in Week 3 after opening the season 1-1. Campbell’s focus now rests on execution and putting players in positions to succeed.

Detroit has plenty to address, and Dan Campbell remains focused on correcting those issues.
