Dan Campbell Must Make a Move at $33M Colts Star To Help Jared Goff

Jared Goff’s performance and health remain key for the Lions’ chances to progress this upcoming season.
Head Coach Dan Campbell will be looking to create additional depth for the quarterback position if his star quarterback goes down injured.
The Lions could target Indianapolis Colts’ Anthony Richardson, after ESPN’s Stephen Holder confirmed that Richardson has been permitted to look for a trade.
In 17 games for Indianapolis, Richardson has scored 11 touchdowns for 2400 passing yards. But he also threw 13 interceptions and was sacked 21 times.
Unfortunately, the 23-year old star had his vision impaired by injury at a warm-up session just hours before the Colts played Arizona. He has since recovered from the injury, but has lost his place to Daniel Jones as the starting quarterback.
For the Lions, this spells good news as No.2 quarterback Kyle Allen is set to become a free agent this offseason. Anthony Richardson can be a good fit to plug this gap and support Jared Goff.
There is a challenge, however. The Lions can expect stiff competition from the Minnesota Vikings in targeting Richardson. There is a mutual interest from both parties.
So, the Lions need to act quickly if they have to thwart the Vikings’ plans to land Richardson.
Jared Goff expands his career outside the NFL
In other news, Jared Goff’s focus is not only with the Detroit Lions.
He is going to be hosting his first youth football camp this spring. Goff made the announcement last Wednesday via FlexWork Sports in Grand Rapids, Saginaw, and Bloomfield Hills in Michigan.
Speaking on this move, Goff said, “Looking forward to getting on the field and making unforgettable memories together.”
Goff, who will be 32 for the upcoming season, will be looking to help the Lions progress to the playoffs after their bottom-table finish last season.
