Amon-Ra St. Brown has plenty to look forward to both on and off the football field. The Detroit Lions star recently got engaged to his girlfriend, Brooklyn Adams, meaning a wedding is now on the horizon.

With that major milestone approaching, St. Brown recently turned to his head coach Dan Campbell for some marriage advice. Campbell has been married for 27 years, making him a fitting person to ask.

So what was his advice? Well, he shared a lesson his own father gave him before his wedding.

“Be man enough to swallow your pride. And then pick your points, pick when it is that time.”

Campbell explained that the advice has stuck with him throughout his marriage. He also revealed another lesson he has learned over the years, explaining that sometimes your spouse isn't necessarily upset with you.

Instead, they may simply want to be heard. According to Campbell, knowing when to listen rather than argue can make all the difference.

For St. Brown, that could prove to be useful advice as he prepares for married life. However, he also has another major priority competing for his attention this season.

The Super Bowl Is Also a Priority for Amon-Ra St. Brown This Season

The wedding is obviously a major priority for Amon-Ra St. Brown. However, a close second has to be bringing a Lombardi Trophy back to Detroit, especially after the Lions' disappointing 2025 campaign.

St. Brown has already made his ambitions clear. He previously said that he and Jared Goff “just gotta win the Super Bowl,” adding that winning it all would silence many of Goff's critics.

He also made it clear how badly he wants that for his quarterback. Now, St. Brown has the opportunity to pursue both major goals in his life, with marriage and a championship potentially awaiting him.
