The NFL Commissioner, Roger Goodell, has finally addressed the situation involving the Detroit Lions cornerback Terrion Arnold. 

At the 2026 NFL Annual League Meeting, Goodell was asked about the robbery incident in Tampa, Florida, on February 4.

“We’ll follow the facts,” Goodell said. “There are obligations for clubs to report areas where there’s potential for…personal conduct violations, but we obviously will follow all of that and deal with it appropriately.”

Arnold has not been formally charged with any felony in connection with the robbery and kidnapping that took place in retaliation for a theft at an Airbnb that Arnold rented.

Reportedly, the thieves stole designer bags, approximately $100,000 in cash, and an $80,000 necklace, among other things.

Also, the case involves six defendants. That includes Jasmine Randazzo, who was instructed by Arianna Del Valle (Arnold's girlfriend) to lure those men to the apartment.

However, according to the Hillsborough County Circuit Judge J. Logan Murphy's order in February, Boakai Hilton was the main person behind the plan.

Moreover, Arnold’s attorney, R. Timothy Jansen, has publicly stated that he does not expect any felony charges to be filed.

How the Detroit Lions Are Responding Internally to the Terrion Arnold  Situation

After Terrion Arnold's details surfaced, the Lions conducted their own internal review. They gathered details and spoke with those involved to understand exactly what happened. 

That process also included direct discussions from the Lions' front office. Team president Rod Wood was involved in what was described as a thorough internal “grilling” session to assess the facts.

From there, the message coming out of Detroit has been consistent. 

“Trust what the kid said that we're all right,” head coach Dan Campbell said. “We got all the information that says he wasn't involved. That's what we know, that's all we know, and I mean, that's really all I can say.”

At the same time, the Lions understand the situation is still evolving. While they are standing by Arnold based on the information currently available, they are also allowing the process to play out. 

"We’re monitoring what’s out there. I mean, as of a month ago, this was nothing. So I have no idea what this is. As far as I know it’s still not a big deal, it seems like he wasn’t involved with this,” Campbell added.
