Caleb Williams sends two-word message to $2M Bears WR over special occasion

Quarterback Caleb Williams and wide receiver Jahdae Walker have spent the offseason building on the connection they formed during Walker's rookie year. Williams acknowledged that again after sending Walker a message for his 24th birthday.
The Bears also marked the occasion on Instagram. Their post featured a clip that showed Williams finding the receiver in the corner of the end zone for a touchdown against the Green Bay Packers last season.
Williams later reposted the Bears' post to his Instagram story with a simple two-word message. "My guyyy," as published on The Sporting News.
The post also showcased how both have built their relationship since Walker joined the Chicago Bears as an undrafted free agent in 2025.

As per The Sporting News, Walker appeared in nine games as a rookie. He finished with six catches for 87 yards and two touchdowns.
His role was limited behind Chicago's established receivers. Even so, he earned more opportunities as the season progressed and built trust with Williams.
Williams is coming off a breakout second season after leading the Bears to an 11-6 record, an NFC North title and a playoff victory before their Divisional Round defeat to the Los Angeles Rams.
He also threw for 3,942 yards while helping establish one of the NFL's most promising young offenses.
As Walker looks to earn a larger role, one report suggests the young receiver could still have untapped potential.
Jahdae Walker could earn a bigger role in Chicago's offense
According to a report by Dawindy City, Walker remains one of the Bears' overlooked offensive weapons despite the attention surrounding rookie Zavion Thomas and veteran Kalif Raymond.
Walker's production did not fully reflect his impact, as both of his touchdown catches came in crucial situations while playing behind DJ Moore and Olamide Zaccheaus.
That year together gives Walker a head start heading into training camp. He already knows the offense and has experience working with Williams.
Competition for snaps will be tough again. Rome Odunze and Luther Burden are expected to lead the receiver group.
Still, there is room for someone else to emerge. If Walker carries last year's momentum into camp, he could push for a bigger role in Chicago's passing game.
