Chicago Bears quarterback Caleb Williams has sparked a debate among NFL fans after he revealed his Mount Rushmore of quarterbacks during an interview with B/R Gridiron. 

Williams named Tom Brady, Aaron Rodgers, Peyton Manning, and Joe Montana as his all-time top four quarterbacks. However, Williams did not rank the quarterbacks in a top-4 format.

This has reignited one of football’s most popular debates. So where do the legends actually rank?

Tom Brady

Widely considered the greatest quarterback in NFL history, it is no surprise that Brady made it to Williams' list as per the Cluth Points report.. He is a seven-time Super Bowl champion and the NFL’s all-time leader in passing yards with 89,214 yards, passing touchdowns with 649, and postseason victories with 35 through his career.

He is also the only quarterback to win the Super Bowl MVP with two different teams, the New England Patriots and Tampa Bay Buccaneers. Brady also has the record for most seasons played by a quarterback with 23.

Joe Montana

Widely considered the best quarterback in NFL history before the emergence of Tom Brady, the San Francisco legend won four Super Bowls and has never lost in the Super Bowl game.

Montana, however, has the least amount of passing yards and passing touchdowns of the four, and ranks 24th and 20th all-time, respectively.

However, Montana also played during a less pass-heavy era and had many injuries.

Peyton Manning

The Hall of Famer is the recipient of the MVP award five times (the most in NFL history). Add to that two Super Bowl wins, and there is no doubt that Manning deserves a place on the list.

His preparation, football intelligence, and continued excellence across different franchises only make his resume look even better. Ranking third in both passing yards and passing touchdowns with 71,940 yards and 539 touchdowns, he is one of the greatest players in the NFL.

Aaron Rodgers

Just one MVP award shy of Manning's record, Rodgers is set to retire at the end of this season. He will retire as one of the best passers in NFL history.

He ranks first in NFL history for the touchdown-to-interception ratio of 4.28, the lowest interception percentage in NFL history with 1.4%. He also has the record for the best single-season passer rating with 122.5 in 2011.

Despite a long and consistent career, Rodgers has only ever won one Super Bowl. Still, Rodgers has the fifth most passing yards of all quarterbacks with 66,274 and ranks fourth highest for touchdowns with 527, and could end the season in third above Manning.
