Detroit Lions wide receiver Amon-Ra St. Brown has plenty to celebrate this offseason. On June 8, Amon-Ra and girlfriend Brooklyn Adams announced their engagement online.
They shared the significant personal milestone via an Instagram post on their personal accounts. Following the post, congratulations quickly poured in from across the league.
One such wish came from star Caleb Williams, the quarterback for the Lions’ divisional rivals, the Chicago Bears.
“Love this content,” read Williams' comment on the June 8 Instagram post.
Meanwhile, Christen Harper, the wife of Lions quarterback Jared Goff, also shared her excitement with the news.
“LETS GOOOOOOO 💍” commented Harper under the post.
St. Brown and Adams' Instagram post consisted of a series of photos from the proposal. It was accompanied by a caption saying, “Hard launch.”
The couple also received congratulations from Atlanta Falcons star wide receiver Drake London, and Lions offensive tackle Penei Sewell's wife, Isabelle Sewell. Lions cornerback D.J. Reed, as well as movie star Taylor Lautner also congratulated the couple.
During an exclusive interview with People Magazine in February 2025, the 26-year-old All-Pro WR revealed that he has been with Adams for over a decade, since their high school days.
In 2025, the couple purchased a home together in Michigan after Adams graduated from nursing school in August 2024. Together, they also started the St. Brown Foundation, which aims to improve youth literacy and provide growth opportunities.
St. Brown recalled that he first met Adams when they were paired for an English class project while attending the Servite High School in California.
Adams has been seen attending his games in both college and in Detroit despite being in a long-distance relationship for most of their decade-long romance.
But his engagement isn't the only milestone Amon-Ra St. Brown is celebrating right now. Recently, he was named as part of one of the best receiver rooms in the NFL by an NFL analyst.
Lions’ wide receiver room, among the best in the NFL, according to an NFL analyst
Under head coach Dan Campbell, the Lions have turned into one of the best offensive teams in the league over the last few seasons. One of the main reasons for that is their impressive wide receiver room, which has been ranked fifth in the league by an NFL analyst.
“The Detroit Lions missed the postseason last year, but it certainly wasn’t because of the passing game - only two teams threw for more yards per game last season,” wrote Gary Davenport of Bleacher Report.
Davenport's June 8 report elaborated on how Amon-Ra St. Brown, Jameson Williams, and Isaac TeSlaa made for an imposing receiver group.
“The engine of that passing game is sixth-year wideout Amon-Ra St. Brown, who caught 100 passes for the fourth straight season last year,” wrote Davenport. “Jameson Williams has become one of the league’s best vertical threats, averaging 17 yards a catch over his career and topping 1,000 receiving yards each of the past two seasons. Isaac TeSlaa had just 16 receptions as a rookie, but six went for touchdowns.”
St. Brown, who topped 1,100 receiving yards for four straight seasons, also told reporters after the team’s third OTAs how he believed their receiver room to be elite.
“I feel like our receiver room is, I might be biased, but we have one of the best in the league,” he told reporters.
