Amon-Ra St. Brown has some direct advice for one of the top prospects in the 2026 NFL Draft. When the Ohio State Buckeyes’ safety asked for advice on February 13, St. Brown didn't hold back.

Amon-Ra St. Brown didn't beat around the bush on Caleb Downs’ podcast when Downs asked his guest to describe his NFL Draft experience.

“You are already projected as a top draft pick. I feel like you just can’t f*** it up. For me, I had to try to do everything right. For you, it’s just that you can’t mess it up,” he advised. 

The NFL Combine is a week-long event where college players try to impress NFL coaches and staff through tryouts such as the 40-yard dash, bench press, and interviews.

Ahead of the event, Downs further questioned St. Browns on the 40-yard dash during the Combine.

"If you feel like you’re fast, why not run it? But if you don’t think you can put up a good time, you shouldn’t run it. Look at the tape. Look at what I do on the field. I don’t need you to watch me run a 40 and then think we’re going to draft him lower because he ran slower than expected," Amon-Ra St. Brown responded.

Caleb Downs has had a standout college career with 257 combined tackles, 12 pass deflections, and six interceptions. 

St. Brown concluded that he thinks Downs will do just fine. “Just do the interviews, you’ll be fine. At the end of the day, your tape is everything. You have been balling out for three years, you’ll be just fine.”

So, Who Is Most Likely to Pick Up Caleb Downs?

With Caleb Downs coming out of college football as one of the top defensive prospects, many teams are after his signature.

New York Giants’ head coach John Harbaugh said on the  Mike Francesa Podcast that he was a “big fan” of Downs and that he would “take him in a second”. 

"We favor Hall of Fame safeties. So, if we have a chance to draft a potential future Hall of Fame safety in Caleb Downs, that would be just fine with me," said Harbaugh.

"It's the best player pick because you're going for the guy who's going to be that kind of player. You're talking about a guy that you would like to see someday wearing a gold jacket, if possible. And, yeah, that guy [Downs] would be just fine with me. I'd take him in a second," he added.
