Amon-Ra St. Brown did not hold back when discussing some of the NFL fan bases that have stood out to him during his career.

The Detroit Lions wide receiver spoke with Davante Adams on Hot Ones Versus when the conversation turned to NFL fans.

St. Brown admitted that he had little love for Green Bay fans. The Packers and Lions are longtime rivals in the NFC North. However, he then made a surprising addition to his list. He named Atlanta Falcons fans among the worst he had encountered.

“I hate Packers fans, just because it's Green Bay and I play for Detroit. But I think some of the worst fans were the Falcons,” St. Brown said. [VIA: Hot Ones Versus]

This assessment appeared to surprise Adams. The former Packers star then double-checked the Lions wide receiver’s comment.

Amon-Ra St. Brown explains why he criticized Falcons fans

Amon-Ra St. Brown then explained his criticism of the Falcons fan base. He said it was about the level of support for the team, rather than their behavior at the stadium.

He recalled playing against Atlanta during his rookie season. St. Brown was surprised by the lack of people at the game. He called the experience “terrible.”

Adams understood that St. Brown was judging Falcons fans based on their support for the team. He then asked if that was the reason behind his opinion.

St. Brown pointed to the lack of fans in the stands. He also compared Atlanta’s turnout with his feelings toward Packers fans.

While St. Brown dislikes Green Bay supporters, he acknowledged that they show up for their team. That contrast helped explain why the Falcons fan base made such a strong impression on him.
